Wrangler Sahara Unlimited 3.8L. The pump for the windshield washer in the front does not work, but the wipers do. The power door locks are non functioning. The remote start does not activate as well as the locks from the factory remote. Here is my biggest problem with all of it, it is dangerous. I have the same headlights, or similar. I used the 'spare' switched hot wire behind the glove box to hook up my DRL's. I installed a fuse holder and ran a wire under the dash and through the fire wall. I believe it is a blue wire, but you can check the FSM to make sure.

I recently purchased some LED Halo Headlights, and the installation for the main light is really easy; however, it has a 'running light' connector which needs power. So after some research online there are two ways. 1) tap into the frontal blinkers or 2) run a wire from each headlight to the fuse box using a T-tap fuse holder. I am leaning toward running it to the fuse box.
So here is my question: What type of wire would work for it?Specs: 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, Any help is greatly appreciated!!update: here is the result -did the pods and lightbar sameday, everything was really easy actually!. IF you want to have them turn off (the DRL halo part) when you turn on your headlights,. Sorry for the sloppy handwriting and less than detailed instruction. It is basically a handwritten schematic. In short, my DRLs only work with ignition in 'ON' position (not accessory) and shut off when I turn on the parking lights and/or headlights. I chose not to tie the halo on my TJ into the turn signal as it is not necessary (turns are all the way out in the fender, far enough to be noticed), but I still have the option to do so at any time.If you need help, let me know.
First there needs to be a seperate wire that controls the halo. I'm guessing 16 gauge is fine. Now if you do this it will take away any bright light feature the halo may have. It will always be on at the same brightness. So you need to get a diagram of the fuse box and then find which is an accessory (acc) that is connected to ignition (ign) once you find that you need to find a crimp connector that fits that specific post on the fuse box.
Once you have that, calculate what wire size you need based on current the light will use and the allowable voltage drop and also what voltage it will be running at. Most likely it will be running at 12 volt. Once you get that figured out you can connect the power wire to the fuse box and then run your ground back to the battery or to the frame. Then its installed. Its quite simple really.
The thing that people forget is to account for current carrying capacity.
